THE TRUTH FORETOLD!!! Your Name really got snubbed at The Oscars

I'd found this article from the net & I'd read it. Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa) really made to the Oscars qualification for this year's Best Animated Featured Film and sadly got snubbed in the end.

It was really a nice film though but with so many animation that been released last year (27 in total) and in a tight competition by those numbers, it didn't make it to the cut for the Oscars in the end. 😢

But anyway the good news is they made a huge box office earnings as of now & they'd got a positive reviews from the critics. Hopefully the director of this film, Makoto Shinkai will make another anime film for sure, make it to the Oscars nod & broke another box office earnings in which I heard that his next project will be a spin-off to this one & a light novel version will be release later this year.

Just don't release his next film on a very competitive year, especially during one with two critically-acclaimed Disney movies.

Just because a film is a success does not mean it should be nominated for the Oscars.
'Finding Dory' was the second biggest release of 2016. Not nominated.
'Your Name' is an enjoyable anime film but that's it. Five films were more deserving of the nomination.

Nerds are only upset 'Your Name' because they wanted to see a traditional looking anime film - giant eyes, J-Pop music, school girl skirts, etc - on a nationalized TV show - the Oscars.

The Oscars are the American film awards. They do a few token nominations for non-American movies every year just to give the impression that they are the World awards, but make no mistake: it's a Hollywood product to promote Hollywood products.
