What?

What are they going to do? Crawl towards each other then try to scare the other to death?

Why would they fight? Will somebody play the Sadako's video in the Sakei house and they fight for the right to kill the person who played it? Or does Kayako or Toshio watch it, so they have to fight to...uh, survive?

Is this going to be a real film or just a fan film?

It's a real film. Can't wait to see it!

I feel like how the two are going to coexist into the same narrative is going to be a fun part.

However seriously the protagonist girl is going to be in for trouble if she's going to watch Sadako's tape AND get caught up in the Ju-on curse at the same time.

I think that's gonna happen, and that's why Sadako and Kayako will clash.

I do agree that how the two are going to fight each other is...a little perplexing. But the idea of them in the same movie, after the same victim, is still super exciting.

Despite my questions, I do intend to see this movie when it becomes available in the US. Especially since Takako Fuji is apparently returning to play Kayako.

Ditto! I have it on my watch list too.

Koji Shiraishi is a director who has implemented some wild ideas in his previous horror movies, so I hope he has an interesting way for these two ladies to actually conflict.

I'm still hoping for a lesbian sex scene, but I doubt that will happen. 

The newest trailer shows Sadako strangling Kayako with her hair.

Basically the girls watch the tape in the house, that much is clear and now the ghosts are fighting over the victims. I'm guessing Sadako cant kill the victims until the seven days are up, but Kayako can kill them whenever she feels like. So throughout the seven days Kayako will keep trying to kill the victims, forcing Sadako to make an early appearance and fight off Kayako to keep her victims alive long enough until the seven days are up. Then throughout all this the victims will be trying to find a way to stop Kayako, since passing on the Sadako curse is pretty much common knowledge at this point. Although the victims probably purposefully choose not to pass on the Sadako curse until they find out how to stop the Saeki curse, since Sadako is the only thing keeping them alive from Kayako.

Just watched the new trailer. Can't help but think of my own subtitles when the girls find the tape. Something along the lines of "What the hell is this? Some kind of plastic book?"

Looks pretty good, though.

Spoilers!

The gist of the movie is that there are two narratives.

1. Two girls find a tape of an old wedding that they want to watch, they go and buy a used VHS player that has the tape inside. Gets cursed.

2. A girl moves into a house next to where Kayako haunts. Gets cursed.

The two stories don't mix until the end when a sort of priest/monk character suggests curing the 'tape cursed' girl by making Kayako take care of Sadako for her. But in going into the house, they realise another girl (Kayako cursed) is having trouble with Kayako so they hope to have both spirits deal with each other.

To do so, the actual 'fighting each other' part is just a diversion while they set the real trap outside of the house.

I see. It's kind of like a person dying from cancer infecting themselves with rabies. What could possibly go wrong?
