No matter how the film turns out, I am still very excited to find out what will happen when the two most powerful japanese ghosts meet!

Well, considering that she is my favorite villainess, I am #teamsadako no doubt about that.
However, the ending I am expecting will happen is that neither of the ghosts really "win", instead they might fight to a draw and the mortal human protagonists will be the winners. Maybe they will even team up with one of the villains at first to defeat the other before fighting the remaining one off. At least, that's the way it often seems to go down in horror villain crossover conflicts.

kayako was an unfaithful swine.
Although visualizing how the ghosts fight is harder, I hope that we get to see the movie include many powers they possess. I remember Sadako at least, having a range of psychic powers that would be good in combat, including healing powers and telekinesis. As for Kayako she has a number advantage with Toshio on her side, and he is seen fighting a human in the newest trailers footage. I'm not sure how effective their powers are on other ghosts however.

shareI already watched this movie and was quite disappointed at the dialouge and the scares as the scares felt too cheap and over-done. It is the kind of movie where you should watch to laugh at it. And the ending is pretty weird, stupid and crazy.

shareThe fight goes something like this(this may contain a few minor spoilers):Sadako crawls out from the television and begins using her hair to drag Toshio into the television. Kayako then begins emitting her signature noise and crawling down the stairs. Sadako appears again and wraps her hair around Kayako. Sadako's hair bursts out from Kayako eyeball and goes into Kayako's mouth.They begin wrestling like crazy and Kayako soon manages to breakfree and crushes Sadako's videotape. They then follow the protagonists to a well and the fight ends there.

shareOne particular actor does not act too seriously. There is some wry humour.The rest of the movie is unitentionally laughable likethe random black cats scurrying towards the camera for a jumpscare, some of the lines and the weird cliffhanger(the movie ended so abruptly that it made many people in the cinema laugh when the credits began to roll) . But I really wanted to like the movie. The fight scene was funny and crazy.There are a few moments of self-awareness.The director and the cast seemed to be putting on their best efforts. The atmosphere was top-notch. But it just ended up mediocre.
shareThank you for your response! I am all for the funny and crazy fight scene and the atmosphere, and now at least it is confirmed that the film isn't a disaster. I kinda liked all the old Ju-on films that were considered mediocre. Even when they were mediocre, they were still much scarier than average hollywood horror movies. very excited.
Shunji Iwai is an underrated director.
Welcome.Btw,i am not sure what people think about the movie.BloodyDisgusting gave this film a positive review. They said that it was a love letter to J-horror.And I thought this movie relied too heavily on cheap thrills and jumpscares and had bad dialouge. And my friends who watched this movie found it a little too cheesy.So I guess it is up to the viewer's opinion.
