Born again X files

I used to enjoy watching the original X files and when the new X files was re-introduced, I had to watch it. I was disappointed in the new series. Obvious to me was Mulder and Scully had aged far too much and no longer had the spark they once had. Other series have been re-introduced; Hawaii 5-O for example, but they have a new cast that convincingly takes up where the previous 5-O left off. X-files could again be a popular series if a fresh cast of actors were used. Maybe Mulder and Scully could be portrayed as retired consultants. Let's face it; they are just too old to be running around in dangerous situations.

To me, it seemed awkward at first and they really didn't get completely comfortable with each other. I understand they're different people now but it almost felt like they were coerced into this.

Yes, I noticed the chemistry was lacking. Perhaps they plan to bring it back with Miller and Einstein as the leads.

Miller and Einstein were horrible. Einstein kept insulting Mulder and generally being rude to everyone.
I am rewatching the original X Files on Netflix. Mulder was brilliant and seldom drank. The remake had him doing acid to come up with a deduction and then line dancing in some honky-tonk bar. Why? It wasn't likeable. The cliffhanger was ridiculous. I don't care if it never comes back, and I am a die hard X file fan.
