Awful remake of a once classic genius show.
This is NOT The X-files. It's a bad joke. Just like the second X-files movie in 2008.

shareYeah, kinda. While I don't think it was quite as bad as you're suggesting, it did seem kind of flat and forced in some areas, particularly the episode that was supposed to be funny. Overall, I was disappointed in this aftermake of a show I sincerely loved in its time (except for the last two seasons).
Then again, perhaps it's simply too dated for me now. They did go to great lengths to keep to the original storytelling style, but apparently that just doesn't work for me anymore.
im just glad its back. dont care who likes it or not

His foundation lies in the holy mountains. Selah.
For sure! He's one of the few show creators and head writers who scripts and directs the worst episodes. I'd like to see more one off's and less exposition heavy sequels to episodes I never liked in the first place.
For a six part series, this had potential. But, sadly, it was bogged down by callbacks to the original show. Wipe the slate clean and explore "monster of the week" plots, with character growth interspersed throughout.
