I liked it

Go in with working knowledge of American history.

It's officially about Marshall--but Gad's character has growth and transformation throughout film.

They really put work into the screenplay. They did not take the cheap route and doing a quickie about Brown v Board and how he went to the Supreme Court. They picked a much more obscure case...so people have to watch it to learn outcome.
