The most stupid decision(S1 spoiler)

When Jason finishes the video and voice recordings from his camouflaged location, it shows him uploading it somewhere. A few episodes later, it is revealed the files were sent to the overstuffed mailbox of Hannah. Why would he send it only to her?

Even if he didn't know beforehand that Hannah had ben kidnapped, he heard them basically say it while spying on them.
Even if she wasn't, he should know she might be too busy to check her mailbox. And that she is in constant danger of getting killed.

When having this final evidence, he should send it to everyone: Secret service, FBI, CIA, The president and his dog plus a few newspapers. At this moment, it matters more that the info goes out than if the wrong people get a heads up. They might escape for a while, sure, but worse if the info is going to waste.

Then leaving a concealed position because of a noise just increases the risk of being seen. Pull out your gun and keep alert, you get the jump on whoever might be nearby... So annoyingly bad planning from a former FBI Deputy Director.
