I thought the Army general, Cochrane, looked familiar, but couldn't place him. I even had a tough time finding out who the actor is, but then I discovered it's Kevin McNally.

He plays a loyalist lawyer in TURN: Washington's Spies. Needless to say, he looks a bit different here when he's in uniform instead of colonial broadcloth. 

He's played many roles. His role in Turn Is fairly unlikable. So is this one.

Holy cow, he IS the guy from PoTC!! I didn't even realize that. But now that you mention it... I guess I remembered him in historical costume, and thought it was from TURN, but he was also in historical (pirate) costume in Pirates.

Wait it's Mr. Gibbs? I thought that voice sounded familiar, yeah he looks totally different.
