Is it patriotic or not to wish that this was a documentary about how we got our next president, rather than watch the complete *beep* that is our current election season?

then, suddenly, the most nauseating and disgusting characters in "Veep" (though never holding an elective office) took over the news channels and watching it just wasn't fun anymore.

I really think we need this "serious" series, if only to cleanse the palate from the sickening news we have to see every single day.

I'm not suggesting it would be happy days, just that the show depicts a much more American America than our current political climate.
