It has been picked up for the whole season

So we have quite a few more episodes, at least.

reply

We hope. They did that to the show Forever, only to cancel it after one season.

reply

Picked up for a full season and renewed for a second season are two completely separate things. We don't have to "hope" for a full season, the show already got a full 22 episode season.

I don't know what they have to say. It makes no difference anyway. Whatever it is, I'm against it.

reply

I think they've jumped the gun on this one. The plotting of the first two episodes were muddled. The potential for drama with this concept is unlimited yet we've gotten almost nothing other than Sutherland seeming like Chauncey Gardiner in Being There. Maybe they have some better episodes in the can.

Network television is desperate. The ratings were solid the first week so ABC is going to give it a full season.

Good. There's nothing worse than starting a new show, investing the time, and then have it go away. I had a feeling this one would get decent ratings, based on the cast and topic. Normally these days, we don't even start network shows until the first 2-3 episodes have aired. We just keep them on the DVR. If the show opens weak, and then loses audience in the following episodes, we just delete it and move on. Saves a lot of time, and disappointment.

I don't know how long this show can keep up the initial premise of the bombing. They can't stretch that out forever. Once that is done, then what?
Well, for at least 1 season, we'll get a chance to find out.

Even if it crashes and burns, ABC will likely burn off the episodes at some point. They did that with 666 Park Avenue.

Chasing Life is gone forever. Get over it!

She does manage to bring C.L. up ad nauseum, doesn't she?

reply

Yes, that and Brian Cassidy & Olivia Benson breaking up, the 2 traumatic events in her life she will never get over 

Don't forget her other man crush, Derek Shephard, you know the guy Shonda MURDERED according to Negative Nancy. She also says she "no longer watches" since Derek died. 😏

Didn't she "stop watching" Royal Pains because her girl crush Jill Flint left? 

reply

Yes!! And then claimed she didn't know who Jill Flint was!

When it comes to dramas nowadays I'm not a big fan of the 20+ episode seasons. I think most dramas are better off doing 13 episodes a season or less. I feel like the writers are asked to put too much into a season when they have to do more than 13 episodes.
