This show is trying so hard to be the "West Wing". They lifted some phrases right from WW but the rest of the writing is really bad.

I hope they don't make this a day by day story arc so that episode 3 is 3 days after the explosion.

Even the 2nd day after States would already be appointing Senators and Congressmen since the government can't function without 2 of the 3 branches of the federal government being eliminated.

The sub-story of the general wanting to be in charge is pretty bad. It might work if it were a better actor with better writing but this show lacks both.

If wanting illegals deported makes me a bigot - then wanting a rapist jailed makes you a sexist!

I started watching the 2nd episode. Didn't notice the 1st was available. I thought it was rediculous. Most of the characters were bafoons. Only Virginia Madsen acted like an adult. I couldn't get through it

The second episode is the morning after the terrorist attack... not even 12 hrs later... so you're wrong.

Let's see, the state of the union usually begins about 9 and ends 90 minutes later (or so). That means the bomb blast would have been one day and 12 hours later would mean the second episode takes p[lace the next day.

See how that works! Episode 1 was day 1. Episode 2 was day 2. Pretty darn ingenious that whole calendar thing is huh! If you are good boy maybe mommy will buy you big boy watch for Christmas with Pokemon on it - wouldn't that be fun!

Oh it's so fun to predict a whole season based on just 2 episodes and be a jerk about it, huh? I'll be sure to resurrect this thread if you're proven wrong.

Maybe if you had bothered to read the thread you would have seen that my reply is in context.

Now shoo. There is plenty of bad television for you to watch before mommy outs you to bed.

I'll give this show 1 more episode. If it does not improve (it can't get any worse, right?) I'm done. Luckily, I watch it without commercials so I don't have to suffer through that crap.

I completely disagree. The only thing it has in common with THE WEST WING is the setting. It's a completely different show.

This is a "Who dunnit?"/disaster recovery show.
