Sam's character is unrealistic.

His character being a pussy hound that suddenly finds himself gay is so unrealistic. No grown man goes his whole life being attracted to women and then suddenly attracted to men; any such thing is a fleeting experience. Why is his character written off as gay anyway when he clearly displays signs of bisexuality? As a viewer, you expected for him to hook up with Fred from the start by the way Sam carried on; Sam is too camp to be bought as straight anyway. But if the character sleeps with women and is clearly attracted to them, then how is he gay exactly? Yet his character is believed to be by others on the show and written of as such. It makes no sense and I'm sick of bi eraser and bisexual people being lumped in with gay people so matter of factly as if bisexual isn't a label itself.

First off you are the one putting labels on everything. Not one point does Sam come out and say that he is now Gay. I'm confused on how he is now being "lumped in with gay people"? It's also incredibly conceited of you to think you know how every grown man goes through the process of finding ones sexuality. I find not only is this character to be realistic on how someone could act, I appreciate that there is a character i can relate to(to a degree). Mostly when a character is discovering themselves they are still teenagers. It's refreshing to see a character still discovering themselves in their twenties and thirties. I myself thought i was one hundred percent straight until my mid twenties and that's only because i had a guy kiss me. I might still think i was straight if that didn't happen. But i enjoyed it and even now that i'm close to thirty i am still trying to discover what it is I am. Your comment is so close minded and i thank this show for pushing the boundaries and not having to always lump characters into Gay, Bi, or Straight.

Tia, are you a guy or a girl? I'm going to assume you're a guy; what an odd choice of screen name for a guy! His character was prominently given a label on the show, and that label was gay. If you're not gay, straight or bi, then what are you exactly? What is sooooo bad about a label? I find that most people don't want a label because they themselves are uncomfortable with the word not just the label. Yes, yes, someone could be sexually fluid later in life, but generally that doesn't happen, and when it does, it's often regrettable and never explored again. The gay person in that relationship is usually left in the dark. No one I've ever heard of outside of this FICTIONAL character has ever been a vag hound and then suddenly ended up with a guy. Maybe that happens with women a lot because they're wired differently, but certainly not with men. He just hooked up with what's her face two episodes ago and now he's madly in love with a guy? It's unrealistic, I'm sorry.

You just ignored three quarters of my name and went to tia? should i call you Tyc? haha It's Tiasstreet, its a location not a name. I have never made an online thing before and I did it just to have this conversation because i really enjoyed the character. Am i supposed to use my actual name? I never said labels are bad. I just didn't think that the show labeled him as gay. But in fact I think a great part about art is that people can often take what they need from it. Thus resulting in them putting their own labels on it. For me I see this character as being more on the Pan-sexual side of things. Meaning that its more about the person than the gender. In a time when he is going through a tough stage in life he has found someone to care about. Sure he is hooking up with people but he seems lonely to me. I not only found this situation to be realistic it was touching to see on screen. I think its great that they put out a character that's not so black and white and can confuse us. He is playing both sides of the spectrum and showing us that sexuality is not your sole identity. I agree that there would be lots of people that go through that experience and regret it. We don't even know if he will regret it or not. But for me i think the key here is the type of lifestyle that they have all chosen. You say this is not realistic but in this kind of community i'd say it's not so far fetched. Sure in A 9-5 lifestyle this would not be a norm. I have lived in similar situations for about five years and find that people that flock to this lifestyle are often very free spirited. Society has put so many layers on people that we think things should be a certain way and to go against it is simply unfathomable or unrealistic. I find that the people that seek out this type of lifestyle often remove those layers because they don't want to feel the pressures of being how society wants you to be. Allowing them to explore a lot of different aspects of their lives. I found episode four really displayed this well. But if you can't believe that this is at all possible then i guess the show just wasn't made for you.

I think this show is Great! There are so few shows that touch on this type of lifestyle. I really appreciate it.
