Will there be a series 2?

Has a second season been confirmed yet?

reply

Sorry, but Channel 4 have not announced whether "Crashing" will return for a second series yet.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is busy working on her next project which is a six episode adaptation/spin-off from her award winning stage play "Fleabag" which is filming right now.

Wish they'd hurry up and announce whether this is coming back or not...

For me the highlight of the show was Fred and Sam. It was a shame the relationship was built up throughout the series only to be virtually ignored in the last episode.

I thought it was made pretty clear that Sam had romantic feelings for Fred. Was that not your impression?

Yes, but they hardly featured it in the last episode. Should there be a second series, I think Sam will have trouble coming to terms with it.

I really, really liked this show. But, I'd prefer to see it end. All stories were told and wrapped, plus the hospital location will be gone. I'm good with the way S1 ended.

I can already tell a second series will turn Sam into the focal character and everything about accepting himself/Fred. That's a definite pass for me since it would be too massively annoying, and Sam is already pretty immature.

About the only other way to make this work is by turning Crashing into an anthology that consists of new characters and locations every series.
