A Masterpiece!!!

I have gone to see this movie twice at the theater! This is something that I haven't done in many years.

I know that there are critics of this movie. There are critics of every movie. I don't care.

I haven't enjoyed a film this much in many years. When the trailer was first released a few months ago my expectations were high. The film by far exceeded all of my expectations. Ridley Scott and maybe Tim Burton are the only directors today that could make a film this grand.

If ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD isn't Best Picture then the Oscars are both rigged and flawed.

Glad you liked it. I think it's overboard to suggest that the Oscars are rigged if this doesn't win best picture. I liked this movie but personally I found it lacking, and I'm not sure why exactly. I thought it was really well acted, directed and the cinematography was great. Still, to me the film lacked a certain x-factor that brings a movie to the next level that I just can't put my finger on.

I can tell you in two words why this film is not a masterpiece: Marky Mark.

I wouldn't say masterpiece but I did sorta enjoy it.

I agree that Ridley, is one of the few directors who are making movies in a grand scale... Cinematic movies about people... Not just TV on a big screen, or CGI cartoons...

It was a lot of fun... Exciting movie, but also has a lot of context that isn't usual in these kinds of hostage movies...

What I like the most about the movie is that it isn't just a psychological study, as a lot of movies are these days... it is bigger, outward looking and more in the world and not neurotic and completely inward looking...
