Season 2 Much Weaker Than Season 1

Though I liked Wendi ditching the condescending bartender the subplots are unnecessary & a sign that they're already trying to stretch it out with filler.Tench's son's character is being set up to possibly evolve into a serial killer with bedwetting being one of the 'dark triad' traits of an aspiring psychopath(interesting, but it will take forever).Atlanta murders were bad choice of focus with unfulfilling resolution.Manson or BTK would have been better targets.Maybe Fincher didn't have enough control over this season.I waited so long to be disappointed by this mediocre, anti-climactic buildup. I won't wait for Season 3 as vigilantly.

Totally agree. My girlfriend felt the same. We were both fans of the first season and waited for this one impatiently.

It started strong. The first three episodes directed by David Fincher were well paced and interesting. But then it started to stall and the whole sub-plot with Tench's kid who participated to the murder REALLY slowed everything down. At one point I didn't feel like anything was going on.

The first season was mysterious, thrilling, suspenseful and so dynamic. The plot was very moving forward and the characters development was so effective. All the interviews, revelations, the way we discovered how the main character was slowly loosing it. Honestly, it was one of the best experience I had with a tv show ever.

So I went into the season 2 expecting something similar and... it simply doesn't have the same spirit. I didn't hate it, it was simply a disappointment.
