Watching Season 1, going into episode 7. Can the series sustain itself?

Sure it's intriguing, but I already see a formula developing. In each episode Cops get in on the action in small town murder, interview suspects, go talk to a serial killer 'celebrity'. Pad episode with scenes showing parallels between the psychos and the cops' domestic problems and conflict with superiors.

Can this sustain the show? I mean, it's intriguing, but won't it get a bit stale over the seasons? Not saying I want over the top cop movie heroics, but...

That's really not what this show is.

Yeah. They had to add a lot of forced drama about Tench's son and Carr's romance.

Well, in first season there was Ford’s romance which I also found uninteresting, and was glad we got rid of his girlfriend.

Guess now it’s time for Carr’s romance drama.

And yeah story about Tech’s son seemed forced. Although his son does seem creepy, the way he was staring at that little girl on the swing. It made me think he is not that innocent as they think. Thought there will be a twist about that, it turned out there wasn’t.
