Fantastic season 2!

Same quality as the first season.
I liked the Manson scene!
Bring on season 3 and make it atleast 5 seasons total!

Agreed. Great season and a fantastic show.

I really love the music they use in this, the kinda scary ominous tune.

reply

Yes! I was thinking about that scary tune as well while watching it!
That really makes a difference! Reminds me of Twin Peaks or Mullholland Drive.

I don't think it was bad but there was something missing from season 1. What I really enjoyed about the first one was the interviews with the killers and the highlight of the show were the scenes with Kemper. This season was less about the research and more about investigation, which is fine but feels more like a typical cop show.

reply

I agree. I loved season two, but could have done with more of the story from the book and less tv filler.

Season one had the interviews and you wanted to see more. This season, the interviews were more in passing. One and done. Five to ten minutes each person and that's it forever.

Season two seemed to be more about family life and personal conflict than it was about their work and research.

**SEASON TWO SPOILERS**

Also, what's with them suddenly injecting 100% fabricated storylines. Season one was pretty close to real life and the books it's based off of.

All of a sudden, Tench's kid is taking part in a murder? Was definitely the worst subplot of the series so far. Felt very...daytime tv/soap opera.

They don't need that kind of stuff to be interested in the show. They just need to show or discuss more of what the show is about and why people watch it in the first place.

Studying seeial killers.

I loved it.
The Wayne Williams episodes were fantastic

I actually like S2 a tad more and agree, the Manson scene was fantastic. The actor sold it so well it had me second guessing. Only thing I don't care much for is Anna Torv's gratuitous lesbian plot. I don't care if she's suddenly lez, or about lez sex, but they aren't showing anyone else's sex life so it's a real sore thumb.

reply

But she is not suddenly lez, she has been one since the first season. She was in a relationship with that older woman who was against her taking part in FBI’s research.

That being said, I agree that they focused too much on her personal life. Not just her actually, there was too much of unnecessary subplot with Tench’s family life.

reply

Hmm, I had forgotten that from S1, I stand corrected, but it felt like she was reduced to nothing but a lesbian subplot
