I actually feel bad for him

The guy is talented, passionate and smart, just the kind of guy we need in politics. But his obvious sex (or sexting) addiction ruined him, over and over and over again. He knew what he was doing would ruin him and his marriage, but he couldn't stop himself. Like a drug addict, who knows they shouldn't keep doing drugs, but their addiction wins over.

It's a mental illness, and while the sexting with a 15-year old is reprehensible and unforgiveable, the man needs help, and it's a shame this overshadowed what could have been a stellar career.

I don't want the world. I just want your half.

Thank GOD he was busted and now the world will see that the FBI is actually competent and will bust that lying vroom Hilary Clinton.

I do not feel sorry for Anthony Weiner. He had so much and threw it away because he was ruled by his little head. That's pathetic. He would have been mayor of NYC if he didn't engage in all this nonsense.

Regarding the 15 y.o. I seriously doubt he even knew her age. Unless there is evidence to show he did know and didn't immediately disengage from communications with her. Her parents are also responsible as they should have been monitoring her as well. He doesn't strike me as a pedophile in any way. He is a pervert that likes adult women.

I am guessing Mr. Danger knew her age. Why else would the FBI be conducting an investigation on Weiner that was announced to the United States Congress a few weeks before a presidential election? "Sexting" between adults is basically of no interest to law enforcement. Stings where upon adults go to meet "minors" are predicated on the adult fully aware he/she is going to meet a minor. So I think it's highly likely Carlos knew he was communicating with a minor.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

You can find the text messages online. He KNEW she was underage and still continued to text her. He is a sick man. He should do prison time over this.

reply

Agreed completely. I look at this documentary and think what a waste of someone that could have been great. I love his passion, but his sickness has brought him to the point of no return politically in my opinion.

He should have been in rehab then and not focused on running for mayor.

Oh and also agreed on the 15 y.o. I don't believe for a second he knew she was a minor, but so much damage has already been done at this point it really doesn't matter.

Considering his penchant for yelling and screaming over policy issues under the guise of being passionate - when in fact it was really about feeding his obviously oversized ego as much power as he can obtain - I am glad Carlos Danger took himself out.

The scene where Weiner is watching himself sparring with Lawrence O'Donnell revealed everything I already knew about this guy - he gets off on himself. He was the guest speaker when my wife graduated college many years ago - he talked FOREVER. Not about what the future may hold for the graduates. He kept talking about himself for what felt like an eternity. Nothing but "I" and "me" littered throughout.

Anyway, this DOC really did make me feel sorry for him... somehow. And felt worse for Abedin... somehow.

I think this showed he didn't really care much for the people and New York (he may have thought he did) just his ego and little weiner. But I don't think many other politicians are much better.
