A 'Hitchcock' documentary.


Well made and the subject matter will surprise most people (to say the least). Few documentaries are as full of plot twists as this one.

I agree, it had just enough menace, intrigue and plenty of layers that when all peeled back, ended very well with the conversation with D'Amato's stepmother. In that one minute of her dialogue, she revealed the nagging question about why someone would go through such lengths. Not that it was at all a good excuse, but it does point to motive.

It's really quite surprising to see the extreme degrees that one "man" would go through and continue to go through in order to justify his sick mind. A man with all that money choosing to spend his life engaging in such twisted manipulations instead of just enjoying his life and embracing whatever his sexual preference is must be a very sad, pathetic, lonely and pointless existence.
