Daisy's appearance has changed dramatically

... with the piercings, black choppy hair, clothing ...

Is this a defence mechanism? Looking tough and unapproachable to keep the boys away? It's so sad that her life has been turned upside down and inside out and the boys are just getting on with theirs as though nothing has happened.

Not just boys, but everyone, if her brother`s comment about hedgehogs is correct. :( She may have been assaulted by boys, but she was harassed by the whole town regardless of age or gender. Even their house was burned down. It became so much more than just a rape. Like she said at that press conference near the end, people she thought were friends remained silent instead of coming to her defense. Hard to ever trust again after that.

It's so shocking that her friends didn't rally round ... it's disgusting.

Well, we have someone running for president that allegedly sexually assaulted several women and a lot of people are okay with that. It's part of the rape culture that has been nurtured in the last several years. Women are supposed to be able to shut a rape down by closing their legs? Is it any wonder that young, mostly males think they're entitled to rape someone. Even female teachers are raping their students. Rape has always been a crime but in the last several years the US is trending towards an attitude of blaming the victim.

That was the thing that I noticed as well. It was quite shocking. She went from blonde in the beginning to red to black. It was just a complete 180 from what she looked like when they first interviewed her. This is what she looks like now:

As for the documentary, I just stumbled upon it last week on Netflix after watching The Hunting Ground and I recall hearing about the story a few years ago. I hope for peace for all of the victims and their families.
