Hindsight is 20/20

So much could have been differently by everyone involved in this case. O.J. basically winning the verdict that would've put most people in jail, should have simply just went away. Sell the house in Brentwood and just go away. The west coast is filled with towns that someone can go too and remain anonymous. Case Anthony for example who is a disgusting human being had the right idea. She got away with murder and went away. O.J. was naive and arrogant that White America was going to accept him again.

As for the actual case itself this trail was like watching the 1927 Yankees vs a Triple A ball club. How could the city of LA be so stupid and send that team to trial. The evidence may be on your side but you have to prove it. The defense created enough doubt and suspicion to make overwhelming evidence look weak. The race factor also discredited the evidence. How can you be stupid enough to put a cop with questionable character on the stand in a high profile case in a pst Rodney King world ? I was ten when the verdict was released. I recall celebrating with classmates and teachers after the fact. The prosecution low balling the racial climate at the time was another mistake that basically cost them verdict.

As for the victims themselves, Ron is truly the innocent victim of this lovers quarrel. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nicole suffered a very horrific death that brought forth the ending of a poisonous relationship. Destroying a man's pride is a very dangerous thing and Nicole paid for it with her life.

The last thing he wanted was to go away. He wanted to be old O.J. again.

It is in no way Nicole's fault for being murdered. No matter what she supposedly did to "destroy his pride" matters. OJ needed to get over himself and move on with his life. Nicole was allowed to do whatever she wants.

reply

It kinda was, he beat her again and again yet she didn't run.
