Hertz product placement

I know they wanted to show how popular OJ's advertisements were but jeez, they spent like 5+ minutes just going on and on about his Hertz spots. I'm not one to call "product placement" every time a brand is mentioned but it seemed excessive here.

I think it was relevant to the plot. They were showing OJ's rise to fame. A lot of people wouldn't know him from football. Then people knew him from the commercial. I also thought that he was the only black actor in those commercials was fascinating, them showing all the white people waving and smiling at him.

I doubt Hertz was thrilled to have people reminded of this association.
