Will there be twerking if they don't keep it a period piece?

Part of the story in Dirty Dancing was the parents being taken aback by the dancing. That type of Dancing is no longer considered "dirty", so how are they going to shock the parents? By twerking or pole dancing?

Maybe Baby will give Daddy a lap dance and he'll be spanking her saying "whose your daddy?"

And they could be doing it in the corner of the ballroom and then Johnny walks up and says "no one puts Baby in the corner"

Then Johnny takes the chair and puts it up on the stage so Baby can continue to give daddy his lap dance out there for all the other guests to watch and cheer.

Film is set in 1963 long before "twerking." Dancing that was shot was very much from that era. In fact, some of the same music was shot. Not sure how the film will do but personally I thought Colt did a fine job for his first film. I wont argue he was as good as Patrick but those are big shoes to fill after all.

Twerking, just a new way to call, shaking your ass! Talk about unoriginal and unnecessary! There is no such thing as twerking! Stupid slang term that illustrates how this generation is so much dumber then the previous ones!

Twerking has been around since at least the 80s/90s, so you can't blame this specific generation.

Is the twerking fad dead yet?

Wasn't twerking once called "bump and grind'?

I think so. If it turns out be model of the style of the original. One scene I saw from the trailer looks like it copies the tango dance between Johnny, Penny and baby first meets them.

The other shows baby laying on the floor and having her seduction with Johnny like the original.
