Does anyone think it's Virginia Madsen? I don't think it's Garrett because they're really pushing him and it's too obvious.

At the moment, I think it's Allison. They've been pushing both Garrett and Cam, and the father. I felt the blurring on the staircase was to disguise a woman, and Madsen is only 5'5". The daughters are a little taller, and Tessa is too young.

I honestly am up in the air about who it could be. I hadn't thought of the mom before but that is a good possibility. She killed her own husband for pete's sake to keep him from talking. I think mom or dad. Not Garret because remember he whispered something to the dad about him knowing. Can't quite remember. And when he was sort of explaining why he left he said sometimes u have to do something for the greater good. Which I took as he knew something bad and distanced himself rather than stay and feel compelled to hand in a family member. I really like the show but I have heard ratings aren't great

I've felt it was the mom ever since she killed the dad.

If it they are going to make it a Hawthorne, I'll go with Tessa (or a Garret twin that was given up for adoption??)

Garrett seriously does have something really weird going on... he is stalking the daughter of one of the SBK victims. Why would he do that?

(He did disappear and leave town at the same time the killings stopped.)

And he is very interested in what Cam keeps saying about a body. Is he afraid Cam will remember something? (And in all these years, why hasn't Cam mentioned this "body" memory before?)

There's very little about Garrett that seems normal! Although it's nice that he seems to get along with Cam so well, like a good big brother).

I know that he seems too obvious at this point, but Garrett is one odd duck. This may end up being... "like father, like son." The father may have been the original killer, and then the son took over (like a copy cat killer).

Well now that we have seen Virginia Madsen's mom, and know that 'crazy' runs in her side of the family...

Some time back I posited this theory:

What if the mother did have an affair with someone of lower social stature within her husband's business, Cam is the result of that affair, and his real father is the ... Silver Bells killer, killing people of higher social stature because he was rejected by Cam's mother. The husband knew Cam wasn't his biological son, but agreed to keep it a secret. At some point, Garrett figured it out, killed Cam's father and left town.

So if this other person who fathered Cam was a psychopath, that could explain Cam and his son's 'oddness' from the other siblings, along with the 'dash' of the grandmother's addiction genetic tendencies.

Perhaps the body being dragged down the stairs was his bio father who had come to take his son, and that accounts for the familial match of blood on the belt.

If the cops would just run DNA on all the known victims and on all the Hawthornes, they might get some answers. But of course, then it would be a much shorter show ;-)
