Episode 8 ending twist (spoilers)

Just because Garrett has had possession of a knife that was linked to the killings doesn't mean he was the accomplice. He could have been hiding that, knowing that it was evidence and using it as a way to manipulate his father and/or protect the real killer.

I think there is still a lot to unravel, and can't believe the cop husband just jumped to that conclusion. I know, dramatic effect, but come on, that knife being found in an unlocked cabin that Garrett supposedly occupied does not equal proof of anything.

I agree, it seems as if they are jumping to conclusions again by suspecting Garrett. It may be the father's knife, not Garrett's.

I'm still thinking about who would have had time to go to that house and kill that elderly woman? Cam's the only one that is in rehab, so he could not have done it. But it could have been the mother, Garrett or Alison or Alison's husband. (Or Tessa?)

And who would have known that Brady and the other detective went to question the woman?

I also saw the homage to "Kindred Spirits" when Jack was hiking with his new friend in the woods (and they spotted Garrett's cabin). 

Is it possible that Madeline Hawthorne's mother, who is being paid to stay away (and be quiet about something?) is really the murderer? She might have a grudge against the wealthy.

I really enjoyed this episode. The characters are becoming more interesting and the plot thickens!

Yeah I really think Garrett is being "set up" to take the fall for something he didn't do but he sure does know a lot but is protecting this person. I'm so sick of them going back to Garrett as a suspect. As the above post said it maybe the father's knife not Garrett's.

Also who in the hell killed that old woman, how did they know Brady and his partner went to question a lead they got? Did someone have their computers hacked or a GPS attached to Brady's car?

Yeah Madeline's mother is being paid to stay away and be quiet about something (don't think it has anything to do w/the SBK but another secret the mother found out about Madeline and/or someone in the family).

Yes the plot thickens indeed!!

Was there some inference to a possible problem with someone in the police department in the promo for next week's episode?

I have to say I really enjoyed this episode as well. I know a lot of people are hating on this show and it has been an uneven ride, but it's getting to be interesting and yes, the plot is thickening! I really can't imagine how they are going to wrap this up at this point. The acting is also very good across the board.

You'd think after the whole "The murder weapon was Cam's belt, so he's OBVIOUSLY the Silver Bells Killer!" thing, they'd think that maybe possessing an item related to the case isn't quite definitive proof.

Since it was revealed the father was SBK, why is it completely out of the realm of possibility for the police to imagine that he chipped his pocket knife at a murder scene and then gave it to his son later for any number of reasons?
