Omg, yes! It was bothering me. Earlier they mentioned passenger side when they discovered there was an accomplice, so it really irked me when they kept saying left panel on the next episode.

I thought it was just me!!!

My guess is the writer is from somewhere where they drive on/from the other side of the road/car. Possibly, but more than likely poor writing.
