I bet the mom would be proud

The mom was completely corrupt and a liar the whole time and she raised a daughter who is the exact same.

reply

Yeah the grandson has no choice but to be disturbed with that wonderful gene pool!

reply

Yeah, I didn't really get why Alyson felt the mom needed to killed.

reply

True, she could have survived easily. They could have had a scene of the Mom shipped off to take care of the alcoholic con-woman Grandmother. That would have been real punishment for her.

reply

I think she killed her mother

reply

I think you are right.

But karma's a bitch, isn't it?

reply

Yeah, I didn't really get why Alyson felt the mom needed to killed.

I think there were multiple parts to her decision:

1) She was still disgusted that her mother was a serial killer. She felt that her mother deserved to pay for what she's done, but revealing her crimes would be bad for the whole family.

2) Sophie wanted revenge, and she would've likely kept coming after the family, harming/killing whoever she wanted to. By telling her that it was all Madeline's fault and that she wouldn't turn Sophie in if she left the rest of the family alone.

So it was a way of giving Madeline what she deserved while also keeping the rest of the family safe.

reply

I agree. Allison is even worse than her mother.

reply

The mother was a liability for Alison politically. If her crimes ever came to the surface, Alison would be ruined.

reply

That's the point of the last scene. Like mother, like daughter.

Clark's destiny = Superman, LL &LL.

reply

well yeah, if it came out her political career would be over. but how is she worse than the mother, the mother killed innocent people, their financial adviser and the reporter. I think thats worse. sure Alison had her own mom killed, but shes not innocent at all, and wouldve gotten the death penalty anyway if caught.
