shareI think the OP was counting the 1994 pilot of the show, but even that wasn't shown until 1996 (as an animated short played before Harriet the Spy in theaters).
It's interesting though because the character Arnold has actually been around since the late '80s, when Bartlett made a few claymation shorts with him.
