Just watched first episode

I have just watched the first episode and it was a bit slow in the first 30mins but roled on fast and i reckon it will be a funny series, so i will be watching it for the laughs...

reply

Yea I just watched it as well, I was a kid in the 80's and I miss it a'lot what a great decade for music, Films, TV, Technology etc

But how comes it it had the song Blue Monday by New Order when they came out in 1983 but this is set in 82??

Where in the UK you from?

reply

Hi mike I am from Glasgow and I remember the 80's well...

reply

Hi there I have been to Glasgow many times over the years, And other cities including- Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Paisley, + Fife,

I'm from England in the county of Kent, Have you ever been to Kent

reply

I enjoyed the lass eating pot pourri... Can't believe that people back then were that squeamish about erotic novelties, though - it's meant to be 1982, not 1952!!!

Not at all I mean a'lot of those women in this weren't squeamish at all, My mum and her friends used to do Ann Summers parties etc around 1983

And the men and women my mum knew etc were all fine with it

reply

That's what I thought - but a lot of the characters in the story seemed hesitant... I s'pose that creates drama, though. 

The only ones in the first episode that had a problem with it was that girls mum who was an old prude and 2 of the men- So don't know why you said - but a lot of the characters in the story seemed hesitant.

I can't wait for the second episode- What are some of your fav artists + bands of the 80's? 

reply

It takes the main girl at least two tries to commit to it, and even the feisty woman in the playground seemed nervous to take the lead at first… Just a feeling I got.

Singer: Nik Kershaw. Band: A-ha. 

reply

Oh I see it came across 'negative' to me, But sometimes things can be taken the wrong way on messages it happens, But that womans mum though came across as 'negative and not shy
