Things that don't make sense...

1. They have to have a clandestine meeting in the middle of nowhere with flashlights because the guy doesn't want to be seen talking to them.

The guy doesn't, however, seem to mind that he will be seen talking to them on worldwide television. He had to sit down and sign an agreement to be on the show.

2. They're forever showing these guys arriving somewhere, not being sure if they can be there, concerned, all that. But their arrival is filmed. So they're all worried, but the camera guys weren't? Camera guys got there first.

Also, they swim and have that guy who looks like he lives in dang gym swim in his undies. How the hell did they get the cameras in? Camera guys float them in on blow-up rafts? If they can float the cameras in, can't they float the people in? Are the cameras in waterproof bags?

Is like to see the cameras get into some of these places.

Other things...

- Have they attempted to seek out people who worked at these agencies where the files came from? Maybe they're all dead, but did they try? Anyone who worked there after the dead ones - did know anything? Their kids know anything?

- Doctors. Nurses. Medical care in the 40s, even in the USA , was - compared to today's standards - frighteningly bad. One can only assume it was a little worse in Argentina. People saw doctors more often and doctors saw their patients more often. Certainly some doctor or nurse talked to their kids. Maybe some are still alive.

I don't know what Hitler's (or whoever was there) stomach problems were. Ulcers, hernias, heartburn...all kinds of things they didn't understand, much less know what the various causes might be. It's not like people had CTs or MRIs to diagnose Barrett's Esophagus, you know?

If someone had "stomach problems", he was seeking medical care. If the pain got bad enough, they'd want morphine. Have they looked for those records (if they exist) or talked to people (or children of people) who'd have administered the stuff?

If there is one thing in life you can count on, it's people seeking relief from pain. When I was a student, my drug-dealing neighbor and his friend showed up at my door begging for help. Couldn't go to the hospital. Too afraid to get caught for whatever the hell they'd done (didn't ask, didn't want to know). As I was persistently arguing that they NEEDED A HOSPITAL because I had neither the knowledge, skill or supplies to fix their problem - right in the middle of all of it - I realized that there must be a black market medical system for criminals. And those folks are buying their supplies from someone.

Had they brought me a very high-profile criminal, I'd have kept my mouth shut for decades. But eventually, after they were dead, I'd tell my sister or SOMEONE.

Someone was chatting it up somewhere, sometime.

- Booze. If these guys were living in the damn jungle, they drank sometimes. Also, anywhere they might've been, any kind of party they threw or attended in their travels would've included bar and wait staff, some of whom were sleeping with others. They talked. Those people would've blabbed it to someone, eventually. Have they checked that?

- Jilted lovers. Hookers. Anyone look for them or their descendants!

- Money. Everything is financed and the nazis are notorious for...well for many horrific things, but also for being lunatics about record-keeping. Have they looked into who had access to money? Maybe withdrawals near the end? Did they wire money back then? Is there some kind of repeated payment to people in other countries or withdrawals near known meeting times? Any accounts in the name of people who didn't exist? Any second account for a wealthy person that makes no sense?

- Bodies. Have they gone through cemeteries and confirmed the names on the headstones belonged to someone? Did they look around the jungle for bones with their machines that can look for stuff like that? When these guys died, they might've buried them instead of cremating. If the cremation guy wasn't helpful or considered trustable, they'd probably have buried them, right? Unlike stupid guys who kill their wives, most people who have a body theat they'd rather not have found BURY IT.

Have they looked through all those walls to see if there are bodies in the cement?

I know that's all really time-consuming, especially considering that finding any kind of info is unlikely. I'm so
not second-guessing. I'm no bounty hunter. I'm REALLY no strategist. When I read historic novels that are war-based, I frequently skip the strategy stuff because it bores me.

Not pretending to know anything!! Just fascinated with this show and it's process.

Whst did they look for? How do they piece it all together other than walking through random foreign cities and asking strangers on the street for help?

They never talk about the process! Enquiring Minds Want To Know! ;) :)

Sorry. That's really long. I'm just musing, I guess. I love this show. I want to know who was living in that jungle, how these nazi-friendly people organized, what happened when these guys died, etc.

Hitler, no Hitler, I don't even care much. It's all just fascinating!

I want to know how they do it. :)

You won't get any answers from the people on the show.

reply

No, I know this isn't that. Just wondering. :)
