Hitler was a power hungry egomaniac obsessed with his own greatness. If he had survived, it is inconceivable that he would have stayed hidden - he couldn't help himself.
Further, if he had escaped, it would have meant little. It's now generally accepted Hitler was a dying man. He wouldn't have lasted long. He may not have even been able to survive the getaway.
The urge to stay alive is pretty dang powerful. Knowing that popping his head up would've meant death - or worse, capture - would be enough to keep him in hiding. Assuming he made it out, which I think he very well might've, he'd have had the sense to hide.
shareThat is most likely the case. Assuming Hitler did somehow manage to escape to South America, he was not long for the world. Whether he did or not, it is clear that many Nazis did escape and at the very least this program is good to show how these rats slipped through the cracks.
