Making a mountain out of a mole hill...
I studied WWII in college, read many books and watched numerous shows and that in NO WAY makes me an expert but let me say, IMHO that this premise of the show is HIGHLY unlikely. Like noted on this board, they disregarded any testimony of the actual people in the bunker, just have a handful of old FBI documents which are frankly, to be expected (people think they see something...hear rumors, etc..and the FBI has to make note of said allegations). The show has brought a few interesting things to light but
The Allies controlled the airspace, there were many people in the bunker (I'm sure you've seen "The World at War" mini-series from 1973-4...I have...all 30 odd episodes) that saw bodies being dragged out to be burned, none ever had any doubts it was Hitler. And from what shoddy Soviet records remain and agents...some still alive...said many times the bodies were burned some more, buried in East Berlin, and then moved and burned again in around 1974. What one KGB agent said recently (and I'm paraphrasing) "there is nothing left of Hitler, absolutely nothing." Knowing what I've read, watched, I find it highly unlikely he made an escape. I'm leaving a lot out, too... Like he was in horrible shape and would have required a doctor to go with him IMHO. I just wonder why the show has barely mentioned his physical health. After reading this message board, the consensus seems to be much ado about nothing and making a show out of very limited material. It will end like all the Bigfoot shows... They will find nothing. Hey, at least it's not another Bigfoot show.
P.S. During the war a psychological profile was developed of Hitler and the Dr. and his team concluded he would commit suicide, and they were spot on concerning many things, such as Hitler would be more reclusive as the war went on. Just a side note. I'll still watch it for entertainment value...
P.P.S The British investigative reporter just seems so convinced they are right on his tail...just kinda amuses me.
