The human population of earth has doubled in my lifetime and the number of animals in the wild has been cut in half. Humans are incapable of being a part of a balanced ecosystem. They just want to keep cranking out babies with no concern for the future.
Meanwhile, governments are encouraging it because they need increasingly more and more younger workers to sustain the levels of increased government spending on the aging population. It's like one giant Ponzi scheme.
