Haute couture?

Some of the dresses are lovely, other's are hideous. The winged thing with the stars on the back was awful. I realize it was conceived by Claude when he was delirious, but it should never had made it past the sketch phase. I also realize Inspector Bompard seeing it on the cover of the magazine was instrumental in him finding Marc's killer, but that part of the plot could have just as easily been accomplished with a good design as an awful one.

I love the storyline. It's interesting to see how culture informs fashion and vice versa, but some of the "couture" in this series is nothing short of painful.
