Two versions?
I've just watched this movie and almost didn't see any gore.... the scenes got cut abruptly so I guess it was a 10+ version?
So, does it have a rated and unrated version?
I just finished watching it, also.
As far as I Know, that is the only version.
It lacks some gore, true, but the images and story are disturbing enough to classify this one as a horror movie, and a sick one at that.
Sad, sick and disturbing.
I felt sorry for the girl but have to admit that in the end she got what she deserved
I didn't see anyone cuffing and taking her to any mental institution or facility so no, in my humble opinion she didn't get what she deserved.

She was holding a knife and the policemen feared for the life of the kid, so one of them shoot her.
So in my humble opinion, anyone who develops a taste for murder and has no remorse, MUST be put out of society, be it mental institution, prison or even... death.
I do get what you're aiming at (due to her extreme isolation she never learned the moral norms of society), but put yourself in the shoes of the mother locked at the barn: would you show compassion then?
