45 minutes too long

I don't know about the politics that everybody seems to be arguing about with this film. And frankly I don't care. I only know that there didn't seem to be enough engaging content to warrant a 2-1/2 hour movie. The quotidian is interesting up to a point. We need to sympathize with the the character. But too much becomes, well, dull.

Sonia Braga was outstanding, however.
