Since Steven has mosaic DS he's higher functioning than the rest. Unfortunately he has his romantic sights on a typical girl, which is probably not a good match for him. It's sad that he hasn't had a date since HS, I'd love to see him get a date this season.

shareIf he plays his cards right, maybe he can end up on "Catfish" next season... ya know, the person who ends up on the show for using a fake name and fake pics to get a person's interest. The confrontation can count as a date and publicity! Win/win.

shareI think he's in the toughest situation. He's basically stuck in the middle. It must be hard finding genuine connections with people because they're never gonna be on the same level with him. Almost everyone he meets is either gonna be above or below him. I mean that in terms of his intellectual and emotional state, not his value as a person. I can imagine it's really difficult for him to find where exactly he fits in among his peers.
shareI agree that being more functional than his DS peers--yet often pining for the hottest girl in class--is a tough spot. Of course, I don't think Steven's dating pool needs to include DS girls at all. I don't think DS people need to match up with other DS people. (Cristina and Angel, for example appear to be a good match.)
It'd be great if Steven found a girl that more fits him. They're definitely out there. If Steven could partake in other activities that may put him in a place to meet such girls, that'd be great. It's LA, so I'd expect there are plenty of programs or activities that are not solely for DS people to mingle, but includes others with special needs.
Steven is my favorite one on the show cuz he reminds me of the younger single me, btw I also have down syndrome like he does but I am married to a normal lady & we live on our own but that's the reason I like him the best cuz I was once like him and I am also high functioning like he is as well.
