I saw both episodes of murder she baked and this was significantly better. Abby, the main character, actually has some motivation for getting involved, has a history with the justice system and doesn't constantly do stupidly dangerous stuff.

Haven't seen "baked" to compare. The acting and sets were more realistic than the teagarden one, but the writing and story was off the rails. How do you get a ticket and not be able to see who issued it? How does the lawyer get all the financial records by subpoena? What did he sue them for to get the records, and who paid for it? And in the last 2 minutes the bad cop suddenly cracked and confessed to murder and more before anyone else was even caught? Why not use the bad cop to arrest her for stealing from them instead of letting her leave with evidence and then going after her later?
Most Hallmark Mysteries are upbeat mysteries. I like the other Mysteries better than Flower Shop Mystery. The other characters and actresses have more charm than Brooke's character. I do like Brooke, but unfortunately whenever I see her in Flower Shop Mystery she looks like she has too much botox unlike the others who has a more naturale looks... Even her character is on the boring side. I have seen all the other Hallmark Mysteries and again I do like them way better than Brookes even the one with Brooke Burns (this is because the actor with her is funny)..
If they want Brooke Shields character to be better she should have an upbeat & witty character at the very least..
That's what I wanted to say! Flower Shop is better because Brooke is actually a good actress. Others are doing decent job too, but I was especially pleased to see a main character played by an actual actress.
And don't forget Beau Bridges, love him and his character!
