Why on earth is the camp on sale again?

You'd think after all that's happened at the camp, they'd shut it down for good. 
I guess Camp Stillwater suffers from the same fate as Camp Crystal Lake.

Prime lake front property -at a discounted price! Some developer should snatch that up! lol

reply

That is what I would think. They would put it for sale, but it doesn't necessarily have to reopen as a camp. I could definitely see a developer just redo everything and put condos or apartments there.

reply

Because some minor part of the evil/demons/whatever-you-wanna-call-it that resides there didn't quite die and wants to start the cycle again. Someone will buy the camp, reopen it, new people will come and one of them will be the new host etc.

reply

It needs to be up for sale so they can have a second season.

reply

2nd season will be in 1970, so that won't matter. It would come into play in the third season because they said they will jump in time for that. Not sure if this show will get a second season though.

reply

Considering how the creators of the show (from their interview) wanted one of their next seasons to be a continuation of Camp Stillwater, one idea that includes the return of former survivors set in the early 2000s, there could be a reason why that sign was left up. I thought that camp was supposed to be closed down for good after everything that happened, but I guess that ending was really more of homage to Camp Crystal Lake.

Deb said the camp wouldn't reopen again, but she died, so whoever inherited her would have put it up for sale to make a buck I guess.
