The 'Folgers' shot

I could not stop laughing after the hilariously obvious Folgers product placement. Then on the next brrak they ran a Folgers commercial to top it all off. The movie itself was decently entertaining, though.

hilarious! Something similar happened on Ion, I think it was A Christmas Kiss 2 where the guy proposes and obviously it's a product placement for Kay Jewelers and during commercial they ran one for that product line.

Nice when someone helps pay the bills

I enjoyed the movie also, but the product placement was hideously obvious and embarrassing. The whole point of watching a movie is to briefly disconnect from the real world, and product placement brings us back to reality with a resounding thud and interrupts the flow of the story. Yes, it's nice that someone helps to pay the bills, but this one reminded me of The Truman Show. The best way to respond is to not buy that product.

Folgers has been sponsoring all this year's Hallmark Christmas movies. They all have a similar scene with the Folgers can.

That's pretty funny!

I have noticed at least three Hallmark holiday films with obvious Folgers product-placement. My take is that the main characters' behaviors are somewhat influenced by high levels of caffeine.

In this instance, Maggie made obvious errors in journalistic integrity due to her excessive time spent with Mitch and her sister in the coffee shop slugging down coffees and hot chocolates only to be compounded with Folgers powershots at home!

I had two espressos while watching this Hallmark movie!!!

That's funny. As someone said on another Folger's movie, the Folger's can needs a casting credit.

reply

LOL yes I thought it was a bit too obvious. I know they need advertising to fund movies, but it was like "our movie brought to you by Folgers!"

Watch out, there's a harridan with keyboard rage going around imdb and abusing posters who describe the Folger's product placement in Hallmark films. 

Well so far in every Christmas movie from Hallmark made in 2015 that i have watched, they sure do show these red plastic canisters of coffee a lot.
But honestly, i would have my doubts to trust a coffee brand delivered in plastic canisters if it actually tastes good, because it makes it look like a cheaply produced supermarket product.

Call me old fashioned, but i am extremely picky when it comes to coffee and i would never buy coffee delivered in a plastic canister.
