So let me get this straight

The doctor closed the door on Axel, who was a couple of feet away, just because she didn't want to get bitten? She never considered that she might be immune to vampire bites? Or that Vanessa could simply cure her again? And a few days later, she actually asks a vampire to turn her?!

Get your act together, writers!

Get your act together, writers!

It's either that or the writers are purposely making the Doc the most disliked character on the show.

If vampires hate "plus signs" - imagine how they feel about the "square root" symbol.

She didn't want to get bitten or die.

She never considered that she might be immune to vampire bites?

We know Vanessa can reverse vampirism, but it wasn't known until now that Vanessa's bite also prevents one from turning again upon being bitten. Doc had no reason to believe she was immune.

Or that Vanessa could simply cure her again?

Doc was also afraid that she could get murdered. Vanessa can't cure her if she is dead. Being bitten wasn't the only thing she was afraid of.

And a few days later, she actually asks a vampire to turn her?!

Doc is a complete idiot.

I know it may sound like I am defending the doc, but I am not. She is easily my least favorite character. I'm just offering a different point of view.

The doctor was afraid to make an incision on Vanessa's wound. John needed to encourage her to do the procedure. And in another instance, she was also afraid delivering the baby. These are two instances that shows her cowardness/ inability as a doctor. For me, I can understand how she chose the specialty of forensic pathology compare to other medical degree specialty, based on that 2 instances. But it is unfair to say that to forensic pathologist professionals who really excell, love their job and chose this specialty not because they are afraid on operating on live human beings. I think Doc really has some issues. I think there is too much backstory that needs to be revealed regarding Doc. Unfortunately, I got the impression that audience don't care at all. Honestly, for me I only care about Vanessa and Robinson Crusoe Axel.

For a split second, I was hoping that she knew she couldn't be turned again and was hoping the camp would turn from biting her, but nope. They are really trying hard to make her unlikeable.

reply

Vamp*, not camp. Stupid auto-correct lol.

reply

You are approaching Doc's decision logically. Someone who is horribly afraid is going to make illogical decisions. We all do. So don't blame the writers, they made her flawed and complex and interesting.

reply

Na, that's just lazy writing.

reply

There's nothing complex or interesting about it. If she wanted to get turned back she would have stayed in Seattle. That character is merely there to serve plot, no matter how weak it is, and that scene was purely for shock value. The character devolved to have no dimensions, and is only a weeping annoyance now.

reply

If you're still watching this retarded show, you're a tard.

reply

Rude.

reply

It's par for the course on here, sadly. But you and I know who the REAL "tard" is here! :P

reply

Yes, we do! 😄

reply

Whereas discussing this show on a forum dedicated specifically to it makes you a what exactly?

reply

😂😂😂 That is hilarious, I actually didn't think about that right away but yeah even more inconceivable.
I thought she wold want ti get bitten and thought that would be a way to reunite her with Alex bc she would be a Vamp and he is one already. BUt that ending just made me laugh. I mean i hadn't had a laugh this good from any comedia show.

At this Point I have no idea where they are taking this. Confusion all around.

But the Doc could be insane, mentally Ill. She was the only Vamp who didnt want to bite Vanessa so Vanessa bit her. Then when she turned back human she was all cranky she sucked her finger form the Blood, i think she was trying to come to terms with her Fate, which was forced upon her twice, but it still would explain why she closed the Door on Alex.

Honestly we just have to keep watching, this show is like a accident: bad but you just have to keep looking.
