And now, for something completely different...

I have enjoyed watching Bo since his very first Comedy Central special in 2009. I follow his YouTube channel and have seen all of his performances. I read through all these messages and realize that everybody has varying opinions and reactions, and I would just like to say that this special, while VERY different from his previous performances (a far cry from his "rape whistles" bit), blew all the others out of the water. I laughed while he was mocking the pop-country musicians, the Kanye-style autotune and the hip-hop "beats" (come on, who else came rap to "I'm a little teapot" and get away with it?) - all the while fully employing the flashiness that he is poking fun at. All of that irony is what makes him amazing and really sets him above the rest. However, "Can't Handle This" was the icing on the cake. Yes, it was profound and not as classically funny as you might expect from a comedian. But isn't that originality what makes him so great to watch? And yes, I read all of the comments people have posted about his mental state and such, and it's entirely possible that he does suffer from anxiety and depression - but can you blame him? Performing for that large an audience is a huge step from making videos in his bedroom. All I know is that I enjoyed this special just as much (if not even a tiny bit more) than his others, and I hope that he does find what makes him happy (be it continuing to perform or taking a much-needed sebatacle) - because isn't that what we all deserve?
