What about the little boy with eyeglasses?

He was the best thing in the movie. Absolutely adorable and a scene stealer! Loved those eyeglasses he was wearing. In one scene where the cast of "Death of a Salesman" are bowing to the audience, he also comes out with his mother and bows. Is there a role for a child in "Death of a Salesman" or was he just joining his mom. Wasn't sure what he was doing there.
