I am not sure completely if the old man dies towards the end of the movie? It is only shown that he is being carried on a stretcher to ambulance and Tarineh leaves the house crying.

shareIt is unclear and what does it matter at that point. The old man's life is ruined whether he dies immediately or later in life. He and his family will never be the same for what he did even though the truth may never come out to his family.

Farhadi always leaves something unanswered.. maybe that's something that adds to the beauty of his films
