I did not find it credible that an old man with a heart condition and who was claustrophobic could cause bodily harm and over take a young woman in the shower. A young man yes. A feeble old man no. I also am still racking my brain as to the relationship between the couple acting in the play, "Death of a Salesman" and the movie's characters. Was the male character suppose to be Willy Loman in real life and his wife Linda? In what way was the male character a "salesman" in real life? And it still boggled my brain why they never reported the incident to the police in the first place. She wasn't raped but was the victim of a violent attack. There is no shame in that. And they had the perfect opportunity to report it once they discovered the keys to the pickup truck. Too many unanswered questions.

1.Well I assume they were both frightened and that was just an accident. I think later in the movie the husband mentioned that Rana hit herself to the glass by which the oldman was injured too.
2.Actually the main couple don't reperesent willy and Linda and it's the oldman and his wife who resemble the play's couple. He is a salesman, he has been unfaithful to his wife, and the wife's characteristics also matches with Linda.
3.They are living in a traditional society on the verge of modernity. The neighbours' reactions to the incident and the couple's attempt at hiding it from their close friends indicates that.
