Thoroughly Enjoyed It

As a fan of the books and games I really enjoyed it. I thought Geralt and Yennifer were spot on. I had my reservations with the casting of Cavill, but I thought he nailed the look and character.

Overall I thought it was great, but it certainly does have pacing issues. Being familiar with the characters and places made this much easier to watch. I can completely understand if someone knew nothing about this world going in that it would be vastly confusing. The writers were trying to provide background and set up these characters, however, I think a simple timestamp would have solved a lot of the time jump issues. Certainly worth a watch if you like the fantasy genre. 8/10 imo.

I'm only half way through the first episode and they captured the atmosphere so well, I'm downloading The Witcher 3 on my PS4 to play through it again. Cavill is absolutely perfect as Geralt.

Forgot how amazingly detailed this world is. I've read some reviews that the pacing can be a bit rough in spots, so I figured the game would be a good companion to break things up if I get bored with the show.

I've not read the books and only seen some game play when the first one was released, but I was also entertained. Maybe because of this, I didn't have the problems others had - for one, I didn't think the time-jumps were hard to figure out. While I wouldn't call this a perfect show, I would call it an enjoyable one. It's fantasy mixed with a little camp (think Lord of the Rings meets Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), which is right up my alley. 7/10.
