This movie did not need.....

to be remade, the original with Judd Nelson was perfect as it was. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092659/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 It used to be that if you wanted to rewatch a film you dug it out and watched it, now you just dig it up and remake it so the spoilt children of today can feel like they are part of something.

Stories have been redone, retold, and lightly altered with new characters since the dawn of storytelling. Get used to it, because it's not changing anytime soon. Brian De Palma's Scarface http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086250/ is just one example of a great movie that also happens to be a "remake".

I, for one, am excited to see this iteration.

It's far more "spoilt" disliking change and throwing a tantrum over it.
Kind of like my niece, she's three. Oh, irony, how I love thee.

And nobody remembers that series (so this one is not even a remake and thus less reason for you to throw a tantrum) so it's not like the ones who watched it are a part of anything anyway. You're just pretending you are, which is sad. But funny... for me anyway.

What are you talking about you stupid moron, a tv series?
You don't even know what you are talking about and you're insulting someone over it. It was a movie you mug and starred Judd Nelson. You commented about it but you were too lazy to find out what you were commenting on, making you look like an imbecile.
And why did you put the word spoilt in quotation marks? The sentence you use it in doesn't make sense, you look like a dimwit trying to be a smatars3. You don't even know what spoilt means and again too lazy to look it up. I'm starting to see a pattern, it's big and fat and it stinks of BO!

You are really pathetic, you remind me of my mentally handicapped auntie, she's in her 40's but a baby in the head. She was born not breathing and it damaged her brain. Did that happen to you by any chance or did your mother drop you on your head?

Trying to be clever and funny but ending up looking like what you are an obese, balding retard. Funny... for me anyway!

What in all hells are you talking about? The thing Judd Nelson starred in was released as a two-part miniseries.
If it was later edited as a movie I don't care in the slightest, it wasn't originally released like that and your pointless babbling and juvenile "insults" (with all due respect to all children and teenagers I know who are above pretending that "you stink!" can offend anyone) ain't changing that.

Good grief, IMDB morons and their rejection of reality become worse every day.

That's only if you consider it a 'remake', or simply another telling of the same story.

It's clear which side of the fence you have pitched your tent on.

There are MILLIONS of stories that have NOT been done before. But the mindless money makers in Hollywood can do nothing but remake what's already been done. It's DISGUSTING!

This definitely did not need a remake. The worst part is that it's remade to take place in the 80's, this original was made in the 80's. Nothing about this is original, it's literally just a retelling of the original movie which was fine as it was and probably more relevant as it took place during that time.

Now we'll see embellished stuff to make it feel 80's, anyone like myself that was old enough in the 80s will hate this.

I agree this didn't need to be remade. The story isn't that interesting. The boy's club members weren't remarkable. It was in the press, but it didn't attract much interest from the public at the time. It's not like the Menendez killings or the O.J Simpson murders. They attracted world wide media attention. The BBC attracted attention in California and the members were *beep* O.J Simpson was famous and (at that time) admired, the Menendez brothers came off to a lot of people as being innocent young men from a wealthy family. Most people who weren't even alive at the time know about them. No one really knows about the BBC. And no one cares
