All very subjective of course, but l think Claire was miscast. She is an excellent actress, but somehow misses the mark of Lisbet Salanderl’s edgy weirdness .
I am loyal to Noomi Rapace as THE Lisbet, but also completely accepted Rooney Mara. Claire Foy’s version is somehow too mannered and not a driven enough character.

Can we please judge actors - of any sex - according to their talents, not some supposed fault of their body or face not meeting Hollywood plastic standards.
what talent though? Hollywood films today are not made up of talent and actors do not 'act', they perform stunts. All films are basically glorified stunt performances, this is no different, so there really isn't much to judge her on except physicality.

I liked her in the role and would like to see more movies with her, but I would at least agree that she is not as good as Noomi.
I may like her more than Rooney though. At the least I would set them as equals.
I don't even like Noomi Rapace, but I don't let my feeling for an actor interfere with their roles. She was THE Lisbeth Salander, for sure. I just did not like the other movie, despite it being fairly good. I also did not like her in Prometheus, but that movie sucked anyway because or the story.
But sadly Mikael Blomkvist died so they cannot recreate that series anymore. That character was very good.
I don't think I will like this new movie, so I will not see it and just wait for it to make it to one of the streaming services.
looks too boyish. i feel the character is supposed to be semi attractive. i miss rooney. even the swedish version girl was better.
