ep1+2
So the federation are the hippi leftists who want to mingle and interracially date and live together and always say ‚we come in peace‘. And offer peace right after battle.
And the captain is an Asian woman with a strong accent. And the next rank, the lead person is a woman with the male name of ‘Michael’.

And the Klingons don’t want to live in peace with the others but stay ‘pure’ within their race. Did I miss any reason for the war, other than just that they hate hippies?

And Starfleet is kinda ‘dark’, like these 3 judges in the dark sentencing her for life for mutiny.
Then in ep3 Starfleet having cons working in dangerous conditions.

ep3
I like the mystery of what Starfleet is working on.
On the ship looking at the damaged bodies.
Michael clearly sees something running by quickly, but doesn’t say anything?

ep5
Ok, gay couple also.

ep7
Mud. He is an asshole. Was happy killing the whole crew?
They release him with a slap on the hand with a ‘comedic twist’.
Is this a comedy? Does this have to be playable in the afternoon free tv?

ep9
Ok. The guy got raped by a female Klingon. They pack everything into this thing.

ep10
Alternate universe.
In this universe the humanse are an oppressive racist xenophobic culture, ruled by emporer, hating everything that is ‘other’.
Bunch of Trumpians?)

Alternate universes being on one hand ‘totally different’ – different alliances, different styles of government, different characters – while the names of the ships and persons are the same, also the persons look exactly the same.
That is totally bonkers. If there are tiny changes from one universe to another, the time of sex humans eg 100 000 years ago would be slightly different, or where the egg is and where the sperm is and it would result in a different gene mixture of a child. This would result in totally different appearance.
So much more realistic ‘alternate universes’ would be no person at all being the same of course, while whole species staying approximately the same temperament.

I'm assuming you never watched the original Star Trek nor Deep Space Nine. The alternate universe sounds like the Parallel Universe episodes portrayed in those shows where their counterparts were evil.

This show has been so dark, I would've hoped that their counterparts in the Parallel Universe were the good ones and we'd see a switch to the show being about the good counterparts instead of these dark depressing dull characters.

reply

Yes, the alternate universes also make no logical sense at all in star trek.
