Much better 2nd episode

The first instalkment left me a bit cold but I've warmed up to it a bit now.

Why did they leave it so long to make another series? After the success of Abrams' first film I thought the time was ripe for a new series then. Also after last year's non-event when Beyond wasn't even released to co-incide with the 50th anniversary, you've got to wonder what these studio execs are thinking.
